We are seeking a full-time IT Manager to establish a strategic and comprehensive infrastructure of support for a team of 60+ architects, designers, builders, woodworkers and property service technicians working out of three offices in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will build on the firm’s strong technical and facilities networks to ensure momentum and efficiency inside and between offices, job sites and clients. This position is based in our Essex office and reports to our management team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Overall, the technology infrastructure management team aims to maintain and improve the day-to-day integrity of a full functioning work environment for a busy staff across three fixed locations and up to thirty remote locations.
    • In coordination with current outside IT consultants, our on-site technology management plays a vital role in the continuity of our business focusing on a broad array of responsibilities:
      • Coordinating IT support with IT consultants including set up of workstation computers, phones and mobile devices for current staff and new employees.
      • Providing on-site IT support, troubleshooting and coordination with IT consultants, as required.
      • Facilitating the adoption of new software systems and technologies by communicating upgrades, notifications and providing individualized training.
      • A strong IT technical background is required including the ability to maintain network security on behalf of our staff and clients.

Additional Qualifications:

  • An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology and/or Facilities Management.
  • Proactive mindset staying apprised of innovative tech solutions and process improvements contributing to the firm’s overall success and vitality.
  • A positive, can-do attitude able to receive, manage and respond to necessary support in a timely manner. Occasional weekends and holidays may apply.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Experience in a residential architecture and/or construction firm a plus.
