Carpenter (Apprentice & Mid Level) - Several Openings Available

Seeking skilled and apprentice carpenters to work under broad supervision and tutelage of the Site Supervisor and/or Lead Carpenter teams at C&M. The Carpenter is responsible for efficiently executing a multitude of construction tasks in accordance to specific instruction, with exceptional attention to detail and proficiencies from frame to finish. The ideal candidate will have ground up, foundation to finish experience, knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, and a working knowledge of New England construction practices. The role will offer exposure to a wide variety of new skills and the opportunity to restore, renovate and build truly spectacular properties and important historic homes in the Master Builder tradition.

This is a full time position with a competitive pay and bonus structure, plus PTO, health and retirement benefit options.

Required Skills

  • Residential frame to finish carpentry experience (a minimum of 1-3 years for Apprentice and 3-5 years for Mid Level experience)
  • Understand, embrace, and proactively respond to direction and instruction
  • Possess moderate math aptitude and an eager willingness, and corresponding capability, to learn and perform a variety of miscellaneous carpentry tasks—physical and administrative
  • Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform, including heavy work
  • Maintain regular and proactive communication with superiors regarding all aspects of job assignments and potential client communications
  • Exercise thoughtful initiative, and adhere to all safety requirements
  • Adhere to expectations for jobsite professionalism at all times, including positive attitude, appropriate team dress, conduct, organization, site cleanliness, etc.
  • Be acutely aware of the C&M standards of excellence in all aspects of performance
