Steve Szabo has been building fine custom wood products for nearly 40 years and leads the C&M Woodworking team as General Manager. Steve was an integral part of the founding of the cabinetry department in 2004 as Shop Manager of the then-named Stephen Terhune Woodworking. During his time at STW, Steve produced award-winning cabinetry, custom furniture, and other hand-made architectural details. Much of his work has been featured by major design publications, including Architectural Digest, New England Home, Better Homes & Gardens, and many more.

A well-rounded and forward-thinking innovator, Mr. Szabo left STW for several years to serve as the Shop Supervisor for Terrafugia, a niche-tech company focused on personal aviation. During that time, Steve continued to produce cabinetry and furniture under his own name at A Woodworkers Studio from his home in Merrimac, MA. Steve returned to his more earth-bound roots as the GM of C&M Woodworking in 2015 and brings skilled estimation, project management, shop drawing, and efficient fabrication techniques to all cabinetry programs. He and the team deliver custom woodworking orders for C&M clients, as well as top New England architects, designers, and builders. Steve has taught fine woodworking and furniture making at the Boston Architectural Center. Steve and his wife live in Merrimac, MA. where he enjoys making furniture, boats, toys and artistic assemblages in his wood and machine shops.
