Surf Side House
This 19th-century shingle-style cottage, transformed by more than a century of additions and alterations, has been returned to its original use as a family’s summer retreat on Boston’s North Shore. Although the exterior architectural envelope is composed of a mix of varied shingle style elements, the new owners focused on creating a calm and uniform look inside, with open, clean, and contemporary interiors. The primary public spaces on the first floor have a seamless flow, incorporating a frameless approach to the new porch, pool, and cabana spaces beyond.
