Rob MacNeille has been practicing architectural design for more than 35 years, thoughtfully designing, restoring and renovating - inventing and reinventing - built spaces for personal, institutional and commercial use.  With a focus on fine residential architecture, and a reverence for his New England roots, Rob draws inspiration from the traditional Master Builder model, where craft and design reinforce one another through active collaboration during each phase of a project.  It is with this inspiring vision that he co-founded the firm, Carpenter & MacNeille Architects and Builders, Inc. in 1996.  Under his leadership, C&M has received numerous awards for design and craftsmanship, including three Bulfinch Awards from the New England Institute of Classical Architecture and Art.  He and his firm have also received recognition from leading international, national and regional design publications, including multiple Best of Boston and Best of North Shore home awards.

Rob holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Graduate School of Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Boston Society of Architects (BSA), and is a corporate trustee for the Trustees of Reservations.  Rob has also served on the Manchester Historical Commission and the Manchester Zoning Board of Appeals.
